House Rules

WHAT'S EXPECTED

  • Strictly no parties are allowed.

  • Please respect our neighbors - Quiet time is 11 pm - 7 am.

  • Must be over the age of 25 to rent (special cases, please contact us to approve it).

  • No additional guests beyond what you booked (special cases, please contact us to approve it).

  • No shoes inside house.

  • Please treat our home like you would your own.

  • House must be left in the same condition as when you first arrived.

        1. Any left over dirty dishes must be put into the dishwasher and the washing cycle started.

        2. Air conditioners or gas fire place heater turned off.

        3. Used towels left in the laundry room.

  • Ensure all outside facing doors are closed at all times when going in and out, to keep bugs out.

  • Designated eating areas include dining room, kitchen, outside including patio / backyard.

  • No Pets

  • No Smoking


GARBAGE

  • Large bins for garbage and recycling on the side of house. Please make sure all garbage is placed inside these bins. Bins have lids to prevent any animals from getting in.

SEWAGE

  • This home uses a septic holding tank as it is near the conservation area.

  • Never pour grease down the drain.

  • Pour grease into container and dispose of it as solid waste

  • Scrap food into the garbage, not down the drain

  • DO NOT put anything down the toilet except toilet paper that we provide, place baby wipes in the garbage.


WATER

  • House uses a natural spring well for water supply. Please make sure to turn taps off when not in use.

  • Water is filtered through a full 5-stage system. This system self-cleans every third evening, you will hear that process in the utility room.

  • Report any drain issues to your host ASAP.


ROOMS

  • All living spaces can be accessed.

  • DO NOT enter the attic or the utility rooms.


VIDEO SURVEILLANCE

The Property has 1 exterior cameras placed in the front of the cottage facing the driveway and backyard respectively. This video footage is not shared and is recorded to monitor the septic holding tank (it has a rod that goes up to warn us that it is filling up) as well as liability reasons in the cases of a break-in, death, injury, etc., and in no way infringes upon the guests’ expectations of privacy in these public areas of the property. Any attempt at disabling or obscuring the cameras is prohibited and may result in the guest being evicted without refund.

If any house rules are broken, the damage deposit is forfeited and you may be asked to vacate the property immediately.
